PostHeaderIcon Earths animals are facing a grim future

The planet faces great peril but animals seem to face an especially grim future. Species depletion is inevitable at this point and our inaction will result in even more tragic results. Humans seem destined to destroy a large portion of the natural world and scientists have hard evidence that we are leaving a very damaging and lasting impression.

The article below shows that scientists are now revealing that studies of past extincctions in history have begun in a similar way with soft animals such as corals and ampibians beginning the death cycle. The primary fear and question now seems to be just how bad things will get before we humans decide to stop this horrendous changes and just how far things will go before we are able to stop the mass extinctions of the worlds species. I personally have decided to do my best to stop the destruction of our Earth and the depletion of plant and animal species. I write this blog and I do a variety of local based eco activities in order to forward the idea that Earth is sick and in need of our help. What do you do?

The animals of Earth face a grim future.

PostHeaderIcon Tween Eco Activists - 'Plant for the Planet' Founder Felix Finkbeiner Plants One Million Trees (VIDEO)

One Million Trees! That's just how many new trees youth activist Felix Finkbeiner of Germany has planted due to his inspiration by fellow youth Wangari Maathi of Kenya.

I find it inspiring to see young activists who put forth such great effort on behalf of Mother Earth and it makes me hopeful my own children will work to make a difference in their world. My kids have planted a few trees and I make a point of showing them how important trees are but the idea that this young child has done so much at so early in his life makes me think I've been a very lazy person for most of my life.

I dont think I have done a million of anything so far in my life and the thoughts this youth has already done so much makes me wonder just how far a young person with such inspiration can go. Will this young activist lead the charge and actually make a difference in the world or will he burn out and do little more than he has already?

I think it's obvious that a young person with so much drive is bound for greatness and his work should be just the beginning of a life of service and gratitude towards his Mother Earth. Do you kids have the drive and inspiration to make a difference? Maybe we both should do more as parents to make certain our children achieve these types of goals and ambitions in their lives as well?

Do you promote environmental care and action in your children?
