Earth Activism

Are you an earth activist? Shouldn't all earthlings be earth activists? I suppose I came to realize the importance of being an earth activist around the time of the first Gulf War when Saddam Hussein set fire to those oil wells in Kuwait. It was a devastating environmental disaster and although I knew before that that mankind was doing damage to the planet it was not until this event that I really realized how hateful and nasty humans could be.

The deliberate destruction of the natural resources and environment of Kuwait was needless and I felt that earth deserved better from us. I was saddened that it took so long to capture this man but I was happy when I watched the video of him swinging from the gallows. It may seem harsh but men need to understand they cannot commit horrible atrocities and expect they will get away with it.

I must be honest and say I am not the perfect activist. I have been lazy over the years and I still have issues in my lifestyle. I try hard to take care of the planet and I never intentionally do earth any harm but I have my lapses in judgement. I still drive a car but I try to drive as little as possible. My shopping habits are atrocious and I still buy products from places like Walmart and other irresponsible corporations but I do genuinely try to be a better earthling. Do you?

What kind of actions do you take daily to save the earth? Do you recycle your home garbage? Do you drive an efficient car? Have you made donations to any organizations such as Greenpeace?
